Midsommar

Although Thomas had to work a fair part of the day, the children and I went to the Midsommar-celebration at Hammarskog. Through the year its a very quit area, but this one day of the year half of Uppsala seemd to be gathered at the picnic-field. And of course around the maypole. To dance and sing.
Yona was a bit shy in the beginning, just wanted to look at the people dancing around. But when they started singing ‘smÃ¥ grodarna’ (swedish version of ‘de kikkertjes, de kikkertjes, zijn aardig om te zien’) she got convinced. And after joining one dance only wanted to stay and sing/dance more. I was proud of my midsummer girl!

In the evening we also had BBQ, as every other Sweed...MUMS!
Thanks Dimitri, Sophie, Lars and Jelle for the nice time! It’s really starting to kick in that we only have a few months left to enjoy BBQ or fika with friends here in Uppsala.

Mooie foto's van Midzomer. Doet me denken aan vorig jaar toen we bij jullie midzomer hebben gevierd.
Geniet van jullie vakantie in Belgiê.
