Bruses and bumps

Our little guy is walking, already for 1,5 month. But nowadays there is no limit...
Whenever he gets exited about something he races trough the house, and Yona also looooves to chase him (and he looooooves to be chased as well of course). Indoor, outdoors, properly or over-dressed:

All of this with the well known result:

Yesterday was his toughest encounter with gravity so far. Falling down from the kitchen stool causing his lip to bleed and making Yona feel even a little dizzy by the sight of it all...

But most of the time our little guy looks more like this:

Not only does Pelle love to explore running around, he has gottn' the taste of climbing too!
Chairs and stools, cupboards, toys. He has conquered them all... We have got this new challenge ahead, to learn him NOT to go (read: CLIMB) certain places in the house even if he can reach them. It is simply impossible to protect all these 'possibly dangerous spots'.

So, we decided to take our monkey-man for a satisfying climb in the 'mountains' of Fontainebleau (Nature reserve 40minutes drive from our home). It was more of a rocky walking trail, and Pelle had to sit most of the time in the backpack anyways, but it was without doubt a very nice trip, just the 3 of us.
Well, ask Thomas and me about it and you might get 2 different stories. But, let me be fair, his' is probably the right one: we started on this short walk, following blue marks. Which I thought would lead us straight back to the parking. Only, I had read the instructions too quickly. And after a 1h walk, following the blue marks, we (I) had to admit that this wasn't leading us anywhere near the car... Walking back on our traces, I felt the disappointment in my own skills and pride in my husbands' growing. As if this wasn't enough, at some point the blue marks we were tracing back even tricked us into fear. For about a minute or two, but what felt like many more, we thought we had lost our sense of orientation and were running around in circles. 'What if we are stuck here with no food and a baby that's about to get hungry! Would we need to spend the night under a rock?!'.
All the drama set aside: at least next time we come back with Yona, I(we)'ll know which road to take!
